Barker was established in 1880 by Arthur Barker, since 1880 they have been making shoes in the village of Earls Barton, Northamptonshire. During the first world war Baker supplied the British Army with there boot from this there sales incresed and increased. Barker only uses the most carefully selected leathers, the uppers are shaped by hand which gives the brand its unique quality which no other brand can match. Barker produces 200,000 pairs of hand lasted sewn shoes each year. Since 1880 Barker still carefully maintains there policies to have top quality material, craftsmenship and distinctive classic design.
