Timberland was founded in 1055 as the Abington shoe company by Nathan Swartz who then produced Timberland in 1978. One of Timberlands aim is to produce shoes comfortable enough to wear all day but durable enough to year all year round.Timberland also tries to produce the carbon footprints and be enviromentally reponsible as they can. During 2008 Timberlands revenue reach $1.4 Billion and employed 5,500 people around the world which still applies today.
